Home wrecker!

(July 25, 2010) --- This house has a year's supply of firewood provided by a summer thunderstorm, delivered in a very inconvenient way.  Montgomery County appears to be the hardest hit while Southern Maryland saw less damage from a line of storms which kicked up white caps in the Potomac and sent the Coast Guard out on errands of mercy to help boaters who didn't appear to realize they needed to vacate the open waters when storm clouds appeared on the horizon.  50 mph winds swept across the region.

Firefighters behaving badly

Hollywood firefighters take their expensive ladder truck to where?  To Leonardtown to fight a fire?  To Ocean City for a parade? Yep. Now they take it to Baltimore where a fire official lectures them and others for playing with fire alarms ( 6 were pulled last year) and setting off emergency water standpipes which flooded hotel rooms and caused hundreds of thousands in damage...isn't there any adult supervision?  Baltimore Sun article shows firefighters with Truck 7 of Hollywood outside the Firehouse Expo....a long way from St. Mary's County!

Maryland now a toss-up state in listing of national races for Governor!  Holy Baltimore Batman!   What happened to the huge advantage in Democratic Party registration as former Gov. Bob Ehrlich attempts to come back...O'Malley campaign last week sent out a press release claiming that O'Malley has provided 40,000 jobs in Maryland.
ST. MARY'S TODAY has asked the O'Malley campaign to list these jobs, where they were created and to prove their claim...so far, we haven't had any answer and if we hear from them, we will be glad to share it with our readers...we also asked them to provide a retraction just in case somebody might have gotten their facts wrong....
