Bandit Breaks Gun Case with Hatchet, Grabs Gun, Robs Wal-Mart
CALIFORNIA --- A man ran into the Wal-Mart on Rt. 235 in California on Monday evening at about 9:30 and used a hatchet in the sporting goods section to bash in a display case of handguns, grab a gun and then rob a cashier before fleeing.

St. Mary's Sheriff's deputies arrived to learn that the man had fled northbound on Rt. 235 in a white car which may have been a Toyota Camry.

Wal-Mart has about the worst security cameras of any store in the area, according to police sources, so little help in identifying the white male is expected.
