Car Stolen in Montgomery County, Torched in Ridge
RIDGE --- A car which was stolen from Silver Spring was found torched in Ridge on Sunday evening. Maryland State Deputy Fire Marshal Chuck Dammann reports that a 2002 Toyota Corrolla 4 door sedan was found set ablaze on Woodscroft Road in Ridge at 10:49 pm. The blaze was reported to 911 by a resident of the neighborhood and the fire was put out in 10 minutes by 6 firefighters from Ridge Volunteer Fire Department. Dammann reports that the vehicle was later reported by the owner to have been stolen from an address on Quebec Terrace in Silver Spring. The loss was set at $15,000.
