Home wrecker!

(July 25, 2010) --- This house has a year's supply of firewood provided by a summer thunderstorm, delivered in a very inconvenient way.  Montgomery County appears to be the hardest hit while Southern Maryland saw less damage from a line of storms which kicked up white caps in the Potomac and sent the Coast Guard out on errands of mercy to help boaters who didn't appear to realize they needed to vacate the open waters when storm clouds appeared on the horizon.  50 mph winds swept across the region.

Firefighters behaving badly

Hollywood firefighters take their expensive ladder truck to where?  To Leonardtown to fight a fire?  To Ocean City for a parade? Yep. Now they take it to Baltimore where a fire official lectures them and others for playing with fire alarms ( 6 were pulled last year) and setting off emergency water standpipes which flooded hotel rooms and caused hundreds of thousands in damage...isn't there any adult supervision?  Baltimore Sun article shows firefighters with Truck 7 of Hollywood outside the Firehouse Expo....a long way from St. Mary's County!

Fishy Hayden Farm Update:

Fishy road entrance?
From a reader: I am sure you have probably already noticed--but just in case---we all know of the infamous Christmas Eve meeting of the county commissioners and the $5million purchase of the Hayden Farm on Leonardtown Hollywood Rd that has no access to Rt 245.  Amazingly, in the past week or so there has appeared and "entrance" to the property in front of the said farm (also owned by Hayden's--Brandon's family perhaps?!?!!). There is a drain pipe, a small patch of asphalt and two wooden stakes with orange tape. HMMM--What is that all about.. No other excavating in preparation for a driveway, road or entrance......wonder what that permit says???

GOP: new office, tight race after Bohanan supporter nails candidate for war record

LEXINGTON PARK (July 15, 2010) The top buzz of the week has been the verbal attack on Delegate candidate Erik Anderson by a St. Mary's College professor who called him a 'warmongering murderer' and 'military trash'....Dr. Michael Glaser told Anderson he had no right to run against John Bohanan, whom he supported.  Anderson is a former Army helicopter pilot who has served in Afghanistan.  Local Veterans are planning to show up to support Anderson at the Republican booth at the River Concert Series on July 23rd.  Veterans are being asked to wear their tee shirts and hats emblazoned with their service and to "show the colors" at the event on July 23rd concert which is where Glaser's verbal assault took place on July 9th.
Republicans finally got their act together to open a GOP headquarters in Lexington Park, next to the Days Inn. The ribbon was cut with Del. Tony O'Donnell presiding while Republicans gathered.

House Democrats ticked off at Obama for throwing them under the bus....read this comment on this Washington Post article

Let's see, the Obama agenda.... hmmmmm...
1. destroy the US Constitution
2. run America into the ground by creating an insurmountable debt
3. destroy the American financial sector via new laws and taxes
4. destroy ties with all US allies while befriending enemies/terrorists
5. destroy the American defense industry, including weapons caches, defense budgets and morale of standing armies
6. promote the growth of Islam throughout America and the world
7. allow foreign nations to make threats to the US while on US soil, thus opening discussions of border neutrality and land rights
8. open southern border to all illegal's (including Muslim extremists entering from Mexico) and granting amnesty to illegal's already here
9. divide citizens of the country via financial, ethical, political and racial differences
10. divide Congress along said lines
11. once 1-10 have been implemented and Congress returns to Republican control, go kamikaze and use executive fiat to implement any remaining socialist/communist doctrines desired to bring about the dismantling of the country
