Man Charged with Rape of Child

GREAT MILLS --- On 02-17-04 the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence in Great Mills reference a possible sexual offense. The initial responding officer determined that a sexual offense had occurred, and requested that the investigation be conducted by the St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations. Investigation revealed that an eleven (11) year old female juvenile was the victim and the suspect was a twenty six (26) year old adult named Joshua Adam Clark. The investigation revealed that on 02-12-04 the suspect committed several offenses against the victim that were sexual in nature. The suspect was arrested and charged with a Second Degree Sexual Offense, two counts of a Third Degree Sexual Offense, and Assault Second Degree. The suspect was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner.
