Another Drug Store Robbery

 

OWINGS ---- Police report that on Wednesday, September 5 at 9:45 a.m., members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Calvert Arundel Pharmacy located at 15 Chesapeake Beach Road East in Owings for the report of an armed robbery. 

Detectives of the Calvert Investigative Team arrived to interview the complainant and other witnesses.  The complainant advised that a slim white male, appearing to be about 30 years old, approximately 6 feet tall and 130 pounds, walked into the pharmacy brandishing what appeared to be a black handgun.

 The suspect was wearing a black shoulder length wig, blue baseball cap, large black sunglasses, a navy blue bandana over his face and had tape covering his nose.  He had on a dirty grayish colored T-shirt and khaki jeans. 

The gunman demanded narcotics and money, which he put into a bag. He then left the scene, fleeing in an unknown direction. At the time of the robbery there were 5 employees present.  No customers were in the store.  No one was injured.
