WALDORF --- (Dec. 12, 2008) ---The Charles County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects in connection with an armed robbery. On December 10 at 2:41 p.m., officers responded to the St. Charles Quick Shop at 3030 St. Charles Parkway in Waldorf for a hold-up alarm. When officers arrived, an employee reported two men just robbed the store and fled. Investigation revealed the suspects entered the business, displayed a handgun, announced a robbery and stole money, lottery tickets, and a charitable donation jar. Officers canvassed the area and a K-9 track led to a nearby neighborhood but the suspects were not located.

Detectives say the best lead in the case may come from photographs captured on a store surveillance camera. Both suspects are black males. The suspect pictured behind the counter - next to the store employee - is described as being very tall, at least 6’5”, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a mask. The other suspect is about 5’10, wearing a mask and gloves.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspects is asked to call Detective K. Keelan at (301) 609-6509. Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. Charles County Crime Solvers offers rewards of up to $1,000 for information about a crime in Charles County that leads to an arrest or indictment. All callers remain anonymous.
