INDIAN HEAD --- Two Charles County men were killed on Tuesday, Sept. 11th at about 1:55 pm when the trunk one of them was driving went out of control, crossed the roadway and struck a tree. 

Lt. Randy Stephens of the La Plata Barrack of the Maryland State Police reports that alcohol was a contributing factor.

Operating the 1986 Dodge pickup was Lionel Anthony Thomas, 42, of Marbury.   Thomas killed his passenger, Clarence Joseph Dunnington, 86, of Rison.  Both men suffered blunt trauma from the wreck and were taken to Civista Medical Center in La Plata.
