Bandits Robbed Movie Store
LEONARDTOWN ---
Instead of paying for the
old Bell Motors Used Car lot
in Leonardtown, the St.
Mary's Sheriff's Department
could have parked some of
their excess fleet in
various shopping centers, at
no charge. After all,
that is the argument given
to justify the take home use
of police cruisers, that
they deter crime. At
any rate, robbers held up a
store in the Leonardtown
Center on Wednesday.
Police report that on May
14th, 2008 at approximately
10 pm, two (2) suspects,
described as black males in
their 20's; both between
5-10" - 6-0", thin to medium
builds, with dark
complexions, entered the
Movie Gallery Store in the
Leonardtown Center where
they ordered the store clerk
into an office and demanded
money. After taking an
undisclosed amount of money
from the business, both
suspects fled in an unknown
direction. No additional
information is available for
release at this time. Anyone
with information or who may
have seen subjects matching
this description in the
Leonardtown Center area are
asked to call BCI detectives
at (240) 298-1928. Callers
who wish to remain anonymous
can call Crime Solvers at
(301) 475-3333. Anyone
providing information which
leads to an arrest will be
eligible to receive a Cash
Reward up to $2,000.
