Boozing sailor from PAX River NAS fled after causing wreck

CALIFORNIA (Oct. 23, 2007)---  According to Sgt. Steve Hall of the St. Mary's Sheriff's Department on 10/20/07 Deputy T. Reese responded to a single vehicle accident at Route 235 and Route 4 California, Maryland.
Witnesses at the accident scene advised the driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, fled the area after the accident. Senior Deputy First Class Timothy Butler located the driver, Joseph Thomas Pisani, 25, Patuxent River, Maryland, nearby.
He was arrested and charged with Failure to Remain at the Scene of an Accident, Driving While Impaired, Driving Under the Influence Per Se, and Negligent Driving. He was transported to the Detention Center pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
