Child Injured in Buggy Wreck When Mower Spooked Horses

MORGANZA (Sept. 19, 2007) ---  A 4-year-old boy was hurt when he fell under the rear wheels of his family's horse-drawn wagon on Monday.  Maryland State Police Trooper Shughart said that a lawn mower working near the roadway spooked the horses pulling the wagon, causing the vehicle to suddenly jostle the boy from his perch on the wagon.  He fell under the rear wheels of the wagon as it was southbound on Busy Corner Road in Morganza. The boy was conscious and talking prior to being flown to Children's Hospital by Maryland State Police Trooper Seven. The horses were uninjured.
