Cocaine Fueled Attack on Home Lands Man in Slammer



LEONARDTOWN --- St. Mary's Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Steve Hall reports that on Dec. 7th SDFC Pat Handy responded to 43000 Megan Lane, Leonardtown, Maryland for the reported burglary. His investigation revealed the suspect, Joseph Wayne Bosse, 25, of Mechanicsville, Maryland, knocked on the victim’s front door and yelled that people were going to kill him. When the victim came to the door, the suspect barged in and grabbed the victim by the arm and attempted to pull her across the room. The victim was able to break away from the suspect and lock herself in a bathroom where she dialed 911. SDFC Handy arrived and located the suspect hiding in another bathroom. He was placed under arrest. A search revealed Bosse was in possession of cocaine. He was charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree and Possession of Cocaine and transported to the Detention Center pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
