Couple Walking in Woods Robbed by Armed Men;


Two Arrested

LEXINGTON PARK (April 24, 2008) St. Mary’s and State Police detectives report that on April 22nd at approximately 8:45 p.m., a male and female were walking through a wooded area near Timber Valley Court in Lexington Park when they were confronted by three men, one of which displayed a handgun and demanded money. 

Police say that the male victim was struck on the head with the gun and the female victim’s purse was taken before all three suspects fled.  In the early morning hours of April 23rd St. Mary’s County BCI detectives arrested Zachary Allan Kiger , 19, with no fixed address and Cordell Rayshawn Mackall, 19, from Lexington Park, Maryland.

Both were charged with Armed Robbery and Theft and incarcerated at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. The third suspect described as a black male with a heavy build is still at large. The investigation is continuing.  Neither victim required medical attention.

Load Up, Light Up, and Lock Up; Bandits Bashed into Home

  LEXINGTON PARK (April 24, 2008) ---  On April 23rd at approximately 0530 hours, police responded to Elegant Court in Lexington Park for the reported home invasion.  The two occupants of the home report two black males, wearing dark clothing, broke into their home through a rear door.  Once inside the male occupant confronted the intruders and a struggle ensued. The suspects then fled. There were no serious injuries reported. St. Mary’s County BCI detectives are currently investigating the incident.
