Driver Eats Drugs:


LEONARDTOWN (Jan. 2, 2008)  St. Mary's Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Steve Hall reports that on 12/30/07 at approximately 11:49 PM Deputy Stone observed a vehicle fail to stay right of center and almost strike a curb. Deputy Stone activated his emergency lights and got behind the vehicle in an attempt to stop it. The driver, identified as Blackie Neil Jones, 20, of Bushwood, threw a bottle of beer out the passenger side window prior to stopping his vehicle off Hollywood Road in the area of Leonardtown Baptist Church. Deputy Stone contacted Jones, who was attempting to dispose of marijuana, by eating it. He was placed under arrest. Additional marijuana was recovered from his waistband search incident to his arrest. He charged with Possession of Marijuana and transported to the Detention Center pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
