Drunk Illegal Alien Plows into Trooper

WALDORF  (May 6, 2008) --- A motorist who was northbound at on Rt. 5 at St. Charles Parkway and failed to stop for the red light at this major intersection plowed into a State Police cruiser and pushed the Trooper’s car into a dump truck.   The motorist was drinking and charges against him are pending, according to Sgt. Roberson of the Maryland State Police.  The motorist is an illegal alien and has no address, say police.  After he faces charges which are pending then he will be referred to the ICE.

The wreck took place on the south side of Waldorf at about 9:24 am when Leobardo Guzman Norvaez, 34, driving a 1990 Volvo, slammed into a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria as he attempted to make a left turn onto St. Charles Parkway. The police car then was pushed into a 1988 Ford dump truck operated by Clarence Thompson, 64, of Waldorf.

Thompson was not hurt, say police, and Trooper Kemery Hunt, 25,  was taken by ambulance to Civista Medical Center where he was treated and released.   Norvaez was flown by Trooper 7 to PG Hospital.  Trooper Hunt had a passenger in his cruiser, James Dunaway, 20, of Waldorf, who was also injured and taken by ambulance to Civista.

Police say that Norvaez did not have any passengers, nor did Thompson.
