Volunteers conducting their weekly drill dropped what they were doing and arrived on the scene in minutes. Dispatchers advised Chief 7B (Hill) that they were taking numerous calls describing fire coming through the roof, and the correct address was 44591 Reeder Sanders Lane.

At 8:09 pm. Chief 7B arrived on location of a single story, single family wood frame structure with fire showing through the roof.

Chief 7(Brady) arrived just after the size-up and established command assigning Chief 7B operations. When the 360 walk around was completed Engine 74 arrived and stretched an 1 3/4" attack line and knocked fire on the porch down so the structure could be entered on side "bravo."
