SOLOMON'S ISLAND (Feb. 11, 2010) ---  It was a cold and sunny morning in Solomon's today when police say that a masked man armed with a gun robbed a bank near the Holiday Inn.

Police say that on Thursday February 11, 2010 at approximately 0950 hours. An unknown suspect entered the Maryland  Bank and Trust, located in Solomons, Calvert County, Maryland.  The unknown suspect then robbed bank employees at gunpoint.  This male then fled the scene on foot.

The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money from the bank and left without further incident.  The suspect is described as a white male approximately 6 feet tall and was wearing beige canvas work pants, hooded beige canvas jacket, a camouflage face mask and a black stocking cap. The Maryland State Police and Calvert County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene a short time later. This case has been assigned to the Calvert Investigative Team for further investigation.
