THOMPSONS CORNER (Jan. 23, 2008)  --- St. Mary's Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Steve Hall reports that on 01/22/08 at approximately 1p.m., two suspects described as black males, 18-25 years of age, one wearing a red bandana over his face, entered an occupied residence on Thompson’s Corner Road in Mechanicsville. Once inside the suspects confronted the two occupants in a bedroom and assaulted one by forcing him to the floor and striking him in the head. The suspects ransacked the bedroom and then fled on foot with property.  The victim of the assault was treated on the scene for a head injury. St. Mary’s County BCI detectives are currently investigating the incident.
