HUNTINGTOWN (Oct. 23)  --- On October 18 at 3:15 p.m. members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Smoky Road in Huntingtown for a reported robbery. The victim, who resides at the home, Kelly Ward, 29, advised that when she answered a knock on the front door earlier that day, two men asked if another member of the family was there. When the victim advised no, they forced their way into the home by brandishing a small black gun.

One of the men ran up the stairs and broke open the door to a locked bedroom. He returned to the first floor carrying a small box. The two then left the house. The victim was not harmed.

The incident is being investigated by Det. Joe Hollinger of CIT.
