Maryland Senate President Mike Miller says emphatically that the slot machines being trucked in every day to St. Mary's are illegal; Sen. Roy Dyson is seeking a ruling from the Attorney General.  Sen. Miller says that he has worked for years to be able to bring slot machines back and that voters will be able to vote for or against them on a referendum on this fall's ballot.
READER FEEDBACK:  Should the illegal slot machines be allowed now, should they be tossed out, do you favor slot machines being spread around the area in every store and bar that wants them?  Send your views to staff1@stmarystoday.com

READER FEEDBACK:
I am not a supporter of slot machines in St. Mary’s County nor in Maryland.  I especially feel that slot machines currently in the county are illegal.  Hopefully, voters will defeat this issue at the ballot box.

READER FEEDBACK:

Yes I believe the slots should be allowed not only in the county but the state. The revenue would ease some of these taxes and put money in the schools coffers as well.

READER FEEDBACK:
We have slots and  all money that we make off the slots goes toward all our charities. The Brass Rail cannot say this...I'm sure that some of the money, if not all the money is going back to the bar....if they are giving some of their money to charity's do they have documentation to prove that.
Charles Hill
