Judges let sex offender out on

work release in Lexington Park

LEONARDTOWN --- According to the St. Mary’s Sheriff’s spokesman DFC Cindy Allen, in a continuing effort to keep the citizens of St. Mary’s County, Maryland informed, Sheriff Timothy Cameron makes the following notification:Registered Sex Offender Michael Ray Anthony Sr., 42, has been granted Court Ordered Work Release from the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.   Anthony was convicted on 01/23/2003 of sex offense third degree.

 He is currently incarcerated for violation of probation on the third degree sex offense and a new charge of failure to register as a sex offender. 

Work release was authorized in both cases by Judge John F. Slade III and Judge Karen H. Abrams.  Michael Ray Anthony, Sr. is employed by Shannon’s Shiska Bob Shack on Elegant Court, Lexington Park, Maryland 20653.  Mr. Anthony’s begins work release on 11/18/2008.
