On March 11 at 5:58 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 4400 block of Livingston Road in Indian Head for the report of a shooting. Investigation revealed Austin Demetrius Brown, 37, had been shot in his home several hours earlier. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Brown’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore to determine the official cause and manner of death but detectives are investigating the shooting as a homicide.
