WALDORF --- On Jan. 22 at 10:01 p.m., Charles County Sheriff�s officers responded to Westlake Exxon located at 3690 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed the suspect entered the business, brandished a handgun and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. Officers and a K9 team searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a black puffy jacket and a blue bandanna over his face. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and has a medium build. The clerk, a 43-year-old Silver Spring man, was not injured. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Det. K.
