SEE MOST WANTED BY FBI FOR TERRORISM

Ridge Fire Ruled Arson

RIDGE (March 23, 2008) Good Friday was a bad day for house fires, one house in Land of Lakes in Hollywood had fire showing when the first units arrived and it was almost completely destroyed despite the best efforts of firefighters.  At about 7:05 pm Friday, a house was discovered fully involved in Ridge near Robinson Barnes with an offensive attack only ordered by the chief as he arrived, meaning the fire was too fully involved to risk sending firefighters inside.

The fire at Hollywood at a one story home in Land O Lakes reportedly was vacated by those who live there by the time of the arrival of the first fire department units and no rescue search by firefighters had to be undertaken.  A partial collapse of the floor in the house as well as a backyard in ground pool and a propane tank next to the house, were added risks to the firefighters.
At 7:30 pm on Friday, the house on Secretariat Drive started burning again, triggering another response from Hollywood VFD. see photos and more from this fire

According to the Maryland State Deputy Fire Marshal John Nelson, the fire on Robinson Lane at a home owned by Donald Bryan, was a torch job and caused $5,000 in damage before being brought under control by 25 firefighters from Ridge, Bay District and Pax River. Anyone with information on who this dangerous firebug psycho may be is urged to call 443-271-7720 and it is possible that a reward may be available for information leading to an arrest.

One recent wreck on Chancellors Run Road showed that one driver made it into the cemetery prior to going to the hospital.  Photos and story by Bay District firefirefighters
