Police say King Didn’t Like Being Called “Chrissie”;

started riot at bar.

SANDGATES --- Is Chrissie a sissy?  Apparently a Leonardtown man must have felt he was the victim of an effeminate slur when patrons of the remarkable bastion of high society known as the Seabreeze, reportedly kept calling him “Chrissie”.  Christopher M. King, 35, became disorderly and the bar personnel threw him out.

Police say that King returned to the bar not long before closing and began tossing bar stools around and busting up the joint.  A fight ensued with one officer on the scene radioing that as many as 75 people were involved.

More calls went out for extra cops and officers as far away as Lexington Park roared to the scene with lights and sirens blazing.

A report from one officer said that one person was suffering from lacerations to the head.

Lt. Terry Black of the Sheriff’s Department reports that King was arrested once those who were on the scene and had detained him, turned him over to the cops.

King was charged with disorderly conduct and assault proving, of course, that he is not Chrissie the Sissy. King was sent to the Hotel St. Mary’s.

The Sea Breeze is a roughneck bar where dining patrons can be treated to real life fights instead of having to watch them on TV. A police operation two weeks ago rounded up a gang of cocaine  dealers who were operating in the parking lot.
