Thieves roll
over area seeking GPS devises
From July 11, 2008 through July
13, 2008 the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office
responded to twelve (12) breaking, entering and
thefts from motor vehicles. Eight (8) of the
motor vehicle B & E’s occurred in the parking
lots of various business in the California and
Lexington Park areas. In eight (8) of thefts
from the motor vehicles GPS systems were
stolen. Sheriff Cameron cannot express enough
the importance in removing all items of value
from view when your vehicle is unattended. In
addition, Sheriff Cameron is asking citizens to
please be aware of their surroundings and report
any suspicious activity.
