Woman called cops to Flight Path Motel love-nest; they found her drugs
CALIFORNIA --- When a woman called the cops she ended up on wrong end of the long arm of the law. On February 14, 2010 Deputy E. Croyle responded to the Sleep Inn on Three Notch Road in California, Maryland for a report of a disturbance inside of a room.
The motel, which the local land planners thought was a good idea to build at the end of the runway of St. Mary’s Airport, got a little loud when a local woman had a dustup with a man, who may have been a customer of somebody’s, hers or the motel.
Police report that upon arrival, Deputy Croyle responded to the room where the reported disturbance was occurring and made contact with Crystal Ann Coontz, 20 of Lexington Park, Maryland.
A warrant check revealed Coontz had an open bench warrant for her arrest for theft in Charles County, Maryland. Coontz was arrested on the warrant.
Police report that a search incident to the arrest revealed two small unsealed plastic baggies containing two different prescription pills.
Police say that one baggie contain 13 pills, later identified as Hydrocodone 500 mg a schedule III narcotic and the other baggie contained 2 Zanex 2 mg pills, a schedule IV narcotic. None of the pills were prescribed to Coontz. Coontz was served with the open warrant and charged additionally with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
