Woman killed when her car crossed into northbound lanes of Rt. 235

HILLVILLE (March 23, 2009) ---  The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Department reports that a Lexington Park woman was killed when her car veered across Rt. 235 and hit another vehicle head-on.

Dfc. Cindy Allen reports that the crash reconstructionist  is investigating the fatal motor vehicle collision which occurred on today at approximately 8:45 am on Three Notch Road just north of Clover Hill Road in Hollywood, Maryland. 

Preliminary investigation reveals vehicle # 1, 2006 Honda, Civic driven by Lindsey Rudolph, 29 of Lexington Park, Maryland was traveling northbound on Three Notch Road.  Vehicle #2, 2005 Ford, E350 driven by Donald Matlock, 29 of Mechanicsville, Maryland was traveling southbound Three Notch Road. 

The driver of vehicle #1 veered across the center median into the southbound traffic of Three Notch Road.  Vehicle #1 struck Vehicle #2.  The driver of vehicle #1 was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of vehicle #2 was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital by ambulance.
