Will Man Be Sentenced to Washing Spit off Police Car?
LEXINGTON PARK --- St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Deputy Katherine Dassing reports that on July 26, 2004 at approximately 4:00 am Deputy Michael R. Worrey was on patrol in the Lexington Park area when he observed a suspicious person in the front area of Raley's Furniture. As Deputy Worrey slowed to try to identify the suspect, the male spit on Deputy Worrey's marked Police unit. Deputy Worrey stop and exited his vehicle where the intoxicated suspect, identified by police as Michael McNeil, began to act aggressive. Additional Sheriff's Deputies responded and attempted to place the man into custody. Police say McNeil resisted and after a brief struggle, was placed into custody and charged with Property
Destruction and Resisting Arrest. He is incarcerated pending a hearing
before the District Court Commissioner.

Boozing Driver Wrestled Deputy After Flunking DWI Test
VALLEY LEE --- St. Mary’s Sheriff's Deputy Sgt. Daniel D. Alioto reportedly conducted a traffic stop on Route 249 in the area of Route 244 for speeding. Upon contacting the operator, Michelle Marie Frankenberg, the deputy detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath. Frankenberg allegedly displayed other outward signs of intoxication and failed all of the roadside test. As she was being arrested she resisted and a struggle ensued. Frankenberg was placed into custody and a search incident to that arrested revealed a quantity of marijuana and a smoking device on her person. Frankenberg was transported to the Detention Center and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving Under the Influence and Drugs and Alcohol, Speeding, the Controlled Dangerous Substance Violations and Resisting Arrest. She remained in the Detention Center pending a hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
World’s Worst Driver Sent to Slammer
GREAT MILLS --- St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Deputy W. Daniel Ray conducted a traffic stop on Great Mills Road in the area of Chancellor's Run Road on a vehicle for failing to stop for a stop sign. The operator was identified as Frederick Lamont Davis. A check of the Davis's driving history revealed that he currently had four (4) Suspensions and twenty four (24) Failure to Appears. He was arrested and transported to the Detention Center for a bail review.

Burglary Charged

LEONARDTOWN --- Deputy Michael R. Worrey located Vincent Cornelius Gordon and served an outstanding warrant on him. The warrant was in relation to an investigation conducted by Detective William E. Raddatz. Gordon was charged on the warrant with Burglary First Degree and Theft Under $500.00. Gordon was accused of entering a residence and stealing numerous items belonging to the victim. Several of those items were recovered by Detective Raddatz.

Baby, Woman Covered in Blood After Close Encounter With Man
CALIFORNIA --- St. Mary’s Sheriff's Deputies responded to a California residence for the 911 call for a domestic assault in progress. Upon arrival Deputies located a female in the rear bedroom and found that she was bleeding heavily from the face. The Victim was holding an infant when she was struck in the face by her boyfriend. Both were covered in blood. The suspect, Paul Edward Moore, was located in the living room area and was placed into custody without incident. The victim was transported to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Moore was arrested and charged with Second Degree Assault.
Chase Charged with DWI
LEONARDTOWN --- St. Mary’s Sheriff's Deputy Angela Muller observed a vehicle on the roadside and stoped to see if assistance was needed. Deputy Muller activated her emergency equipment and the vehicle pulled off before stopping again. Deputy Muller made contact with the operator, Cornelius Leroy Chase, and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Chase failed the roadside tests and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and is awaiting a bond review before the District Court Commissioner.
