Alfred Lawrence Hasel

Alfred Lawrence Hasel, Sr., 87, of Chaptico, MD, died on May 18, 2005 in St. Mary’s Hospital, Leonardtown, MD.

Born on October 30, 1917 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late John Joseph Hasel and Margurite Scanlon Hasel. Mr. Hasel was a salesman for the Wonder Bread Company retiring after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Landmark Masonic Lodge #127 AF & AM for 60 years, Baltimore Forest #45 Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Teamster Union #639 and the Izaak Walton League.

He is survived by his wife Lottie Schuhart Hasel of Chaptico, MD, a son Alfred Lawrence Hasel, Jr. and his wife Susie of Mechanicsville, MD, two grandchildren, Michael Hasel and his wife Stefanie of Chaptico, MD, Ann Hasel of Mechanicsville, MD, one great grandson, Christopher Hasel of Chaptico, MD, and a brother, Col. Wilbert Travers of White Hall, MD.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 22, 2005 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. in Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, May 23, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Dale Skurla, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Charlotte Hall, MD, will conduct the service. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Bushwood, MD.
