All Students Need Drug Testing at Schools to Screen for
Health,
Mental Problems Which Lead to Violence and Shootings
To the Editor:
Here is the link to the Washington Times news
account of President Bush's School Shooting Summit held yesterday-
APPARENTLY WITH ZERO INPUT FROM THE PARENTS' ANTI-DRUG MOVEMENT!
Does anyone have a clue how we can get the
President and Congress to acknowledge the terrible impact school drugs have
on school violence AND PAY ATTENTION TO OUR PLEAS TO RID THE SCHOOLS AND
KIDS OF DRUGS BY UNIVERSAL MANDATORY HEALTH SCREENING OF KIDS FOR DRUGS BY
RSDT?
Yesterday's conference was a carbon copy of Bill
Clinton's 1999 presidential conference on school shootings with more
blame-the-parents, better-communication, etc., etc., etc. blather- WITH ZERO
MENTION OF THE IMPACT OF ALLOWING SCHOOLS TO CONTINUE TO BE INUNDATED WITH
VIOLENCE-CAUSING DRUGS AND ALCOHOL.
Please see the
below link citing the evidence that this nation's school drugs and violence
have reached the level of a national crisis that needs emergency federal
government action without which we should PREPARE FOR THE SCHOOL SHOOTINGS
AND OVERDOSE DEATHS TO CONTINUE AT TRAGICALLY HIGH LEVELS FOR THE INDEFINITE
FORESEEABLE FUTURE.

Any suggestions?
Or is it hopeless given the ACLU stranglehold on our political leaders?
I'm not ready to quit, but I am
really saddened at the hesitancy of some of our own leading drug prevention
allies to join with the majority of us in our call for urgent federal action
that can stop this current slaughter of America's innocent children. What
do you think?
