| ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - A Coast
Guard HH-65C helicopter crew from Airstation Atlantic City rescued one
of the two survivors of a plane that crashed in New York this morning. At 11:42 a.m., Coast Guard Sector New York received a call from the New York State Police about a plane crashing into the Hudson River off Yonkers with two people on board. A helicopter crew with the New York State Police rescued one survivor while the Coast Guard helicopter crew that was in the area for a routine security patrol pulled the second survivor to safety shortly thereafter. Both survivors were taken to Jacobi Medical Center. Their condition is unknown at this time. |
