Auclair Charged in Stabbing in Church Parking Lot

LEXINGTON PARK --- Don't think it is isn't a tough town when stabbings take place in church parking lots.

On Monday, 3/29/04 deputies from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department responded to the parking lot of the Living Waters Community Church located in Lexington Park, St. Mary's County, Maryland for the reported stabbing. A victim was identified at the scene as Jerry Allen Bradshaw Jr., 20, from Lexington Park who was suffering from numerous stab wounds from a knife. The victim was flown to P.G. Shock Trauma where he underwent surgery and is currently listed in stable condition.

A suspect was identified at the scene as Brenton Armand Auclair, 21, of Lexington Park, and he was later apprehended at a nearby apartment complex after officers learned he fled on foot and attempted to discard evidence related to the crime. Detectives from the St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations responded and assumed the investigation. According to Cpl Michael Gardiner of the joint Maryland State Police / St. Mary's Sheriff's criminal investigation unit, Auclair was placed under arrest and is currently being held in the St. Mary's County Detention Center on $3,500 bond.
