the funeral home on Thursday, June 17, 2004 from 4 - 8 PM, with prayers being held at 7:00

| August Henry Stasch, 82, of
Mechanicsville, MD, died June 15, 2004 in Mechanicsville, MD. Born February 1, 1922 in
Mechanicsville, MD he was the son of the late Dorothea Redies Stasch and August Stasch. He
was the loving husband Mary Alice Stasch, and the devoted father of Alice Marie Tiede of
Las Vegas, NV, and Roy “Mike” Stasch and Brenda Raley of Mechanicsville, MD. He
is survived by his brother Paul Stasch of Mechanicsville, MD and 8 grandchildren and 14
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Otto and Hans Stasch. His
hobbies included fishing and crabbing. He was a lifelong St. Mary’s County resident
and farmer in Mechanicsville, MD. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 17,
2004 in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A. where a funeral service is being held
Friday, June 18, 2004 at 10AM with Rev. Dale Skural officiating. Pallbears will be Jay
Raley, Mike Stasch, Eric Tiede, Jason Tiede, David Seekford, Craig Pilkerton, J.R. Guy and
Arthur Holman. Honorary Pallbears will be John Fuchs, Wayne Suite, Jimmy Suite and Oscar
Buckler. Contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Mary's, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD
