Old Line Bank in Winnie the Pooh Robbery
The Charles County Sheriffs Office is seeking information regarding the armed robbery of two banks in Waldorf.
One June 1 at 1:30 p.m., two suspects entered Old Line National Bank in the 12000 block of Old Line Center in Waldorf, brandished handguns and announced a robbery. The suspects forced five employees and one customer to lie on the floor and demanded cash from another teller. The teller complied and the suspects fled the scene on foot. No one was injured. The suspects are described as black males between the ages of 25 and 35. One suspect is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and has a thin build. He was wearing a light colored ball cap, beige knit scarf wrapped tightly around his face, dark uniform-style jacket, dark shoulder bag, dark pants, white sneakers and gloves. The other suspect is 5 feet 10 inches tall and has a medium build. He was wearing a beige "Winnie the Pooh" ball cap, dark fleece mask, blue sweatshirt with a logo, shoulder bag, gloves, dark pants and white Nike "Air Force 1" shoes.
The Sheriff's Office is releasing photographs from this incident obtained from surveillance video and is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the Sheriffs Office at 301-932-2222 or Det. C. Shankster at 301-609-6513.
Biker Bandit Robbed Maryland Bank
& Trust
On June 2 at 1:10 p.m., Charles County Sheriffs
Officers responded to Maryland Bank and Trust in the 10000 block of Berry Road in Waldorf
for the armed robbery. Investigation revealed a suspect entered the business, brandished a
handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the
scene on a motorcycle westbound on Maryland Route 228.
