Blackout Warden?
PINEY POINT --- During WWII each town had an air-raid warden, whos job it was to
make sure that all homes had blacked out their lights. Now St. Marys Sheriffs
Sgt. Daniel Alioto reports that Dfc. David M. Yingling charged Joseph Norman Satterthwaite
of Piney Point with Property Destruction via a Criminal Summons. Dfc. Yingling found that
Satterthwaite allegedly had utilized a ladder and climbed to the top of a light pole owned
by Richard Cleveland and painted the light cover with spray paint. The value of the light
is $450.00.
