Blanche “Bangie” Lauritzen McGlasson, 85
Blanche “Bangie” Lauritzen McGlasson, 85, of Leonardtown, MD died August 5, 2004 in Leonardtown. Born March 28, 1919 in Toquerville, Utah, she was the daughter of the late Jacob McCloyde and Zella Beatty Lauritzen. She was the mother of William D. McGlasson of Manassas, VA, Katy M. Johnson of Gloucester, VA, Jon Lee McGlasson of Culpepper, VA, and Dean McGlasson of Henderson, NV. She is also survived by her sisters, Patsy Burket of Rancho Bernardo, CA and Elaine Ormond of Hollywood, MD as well as three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. McGlasson was preceded in death by her brothers, Cloyd Lauritzen and Larry Lauritzen. She was a graduate of the Fredonia High School in Utah, Class of 1936. She has been a resident of St. Mary’s County since 1980 when she relocated from Falls Church, VA. Mrs. McGlasson was a homemaker and her hobbies included reading, needlepoint and crocheting. The family will receive visitors today, Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at 2:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joseph Dobson officiating. Interment will be private. Contributions may be made to Leonardtown Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 72, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
