Boozing Motorists Sidelined by Deputies
LEXINGTON PARK --- St. Mary’s Sheriff's Deputy Richard W. Russell conducted a traffic stop on RT. 237 & Pegg Road in Lexington Park for running a flashing red light. Upon contacting the operator, James Earl Hamilton, Deputy Russell detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Suspect Hamilton displayed other outward signs of intoxication and failed all of the roadside test. Suspect Frankenberg was transported to the Sheriff's office were he was charged with driving while intoxicated and running a red light.

On 09-05-04, St. Mary's Sheriff's Deputies responded to a single Motor
Vehicle accident in the area of Colton's Point Road and Rene Penny Road in Colton's Point. Deputy Angela M. Muller identified the driver of the vehicle as Wayne Bradley Edger. Suspect Edger had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Edger refused medical attention and was unable to complete the roadside test. Edger was transported to the St. Mary' County Sheriff's office was he was charged with driving while intoxicated.

On 09-05-04, Dfc. William D. Ray of the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Dept. served a Criminal Summons on Craig Wesley Norton of Mechanicsville for 2nd Degree Assault.
