Cain Was Able to Sell Drugs with Digitial Scales
GOLDEN BEACH ---  State Police report that on 6/10/04, at 11:15 a.m., Maryland State Trooper Tpr. L. N. Nims initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Route 5 in Golden Beach.  A passenger in the vehicle was observed making furtive movements.  A search incident to probable cause revealed suspected marijuana on the passenger.  A 16 year old male from Fort Washington was arrested and charged as a juvenile with possession of CDS.  A search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana and a digital scale in the vehicle.  Frederick J. Cain, 22 years, of Fort Washington was arrested and charged with possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia.    Cain was incarcerated in the Detention Center pending a bond hearing.   The juvenile was released to a relative pending action by juvenile authorities.
Man Charged with Beating Woman
CALIFORNIA --- 6/8/04, at 5:23 p.m., Tpr. R. B. Rezza responded to a residence on St. Andrew's Church Road in California, for a reported assault.  As a result, Jerry J. Estep Sr., 35 years, of California, was arrested and charged with 2nd degree assault on   a 27 year old female at the residence.   Estep was incarcerated in the Detention Center pending a bond review.
Riverview on River Springs
AVENUE --- On 6/8/04, between 12:01 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., unknown suspect(s) damaged a window at a residence on River Springs Road in Avenue by throwing a brick at the window.   Damage is estimated at $100.  Tpr. P. A. Trossbach is conducting this investigation.

More Violence in Schools; Boy Charged with Beating Up Girl
MORGANZA --- On 6/11/04, a 15 year old male from Mechanicsville was arrested and charged as a juvenile with 2nd degree assault.  The juvenile is accused of assaulting a 14 year old female from Mechanicsville at Chopticon High School in Morganza on 6/8/04.   The juvenile was released to a relative pending action by juvenile authorities.   TFC J. D. Vanhoy conducted this investigation.

Pot Makes Kids So Dumb They Smoke Weed Out In Open
LEONARDTOWN --- On 6/11/04, at 3:55 p.m., TFC W. P. Goldston and Tpr. Nims observed a suspicious vehicle parked at the Leonardtown Wharf on Washington Street in Leonardtown.  Upon contacting the occupants, TFC Goldston and Tpr. Nims detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  A search incident to probable cause revealed a CDS smoking device containing suspected marijuana residue in the vehicle and suspected marijuana on the driver.  A 17 year old male from Hollywood and a 17 year old male from Clements were arrested and charged as juveniles with possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia.   They were released to their parents pending action by juvenile authorities.
Pot Packing Mama Nabbed with Wanted Man
LEXINGTON PARK --- On 6/13/04, at 11:45 a.m., Tpr. J. L. Linger initiated a traffic stop on
a vehicle in Lexington Park.  The driver, Kevin W. Riddick, 33 years, of Lexington Park, was subsequently arrested and charged on an outstanding warrant.  A search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana in the vehicle belonging to the passenger.   Latisha A. Bush, 21 years, of
Great Mills, was arrested.  A search of Ms. Bush revealed suspected marijuana on her person.  Ms. Bush was charged with possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia.  She was incarcerated in the Detention Center pending a bond hearing.  Mr. Riddick was incarcerated in the Detention
Center pending a bond hearing.
