Bike Stolen
NORTH BEACH --- A victim on 5th Street in North Beach advised Dfc. Jason Elliott
that sometime between June 6 at 10:00 p.m. and the following morning, a silver,
black and red colored Mako BMX bicycle was stolen from her fenced in yard. The
bicycle is valued at $70.00. Dfc. Elliott will continue to investigate.
Counterfeit $20 Spent on Roast Beef Sandwich
DUNKIRK --- Dfc. Eric Basham responded to Arby’s Restaurant at 10200 Kirksville
Lane in Dunkirk on June 7th in response to a report of fraud. The complainant,
an employee of Arby’s, advised Dfc. Basham that a customer at the drive-thru
window passed a fraudulent $20.00 bill. The complainant gave Dfc. Basham the
suspect’s description and other information and he will continue the
investigation.
Hard Boiled Attack
ST. LEONARD --- Dfc. Katharine Luppino responded to a home on Wild Cherry Lane
in St. Leonard on June 8th for the report of destruction of property. The victim
stated that sometime overnight someone had thrown eggs at her vehicle, which had
been parked in her driveway. The damage was estimated by the victim to be
$200.00. Dfc. Luppino will continue the investigation
Stolen Gun Was in Plain View
DUNKIRK --- Dep. Mark Robshaw and Dep. Edwin Bradley made a traffic stop on a
dark green Pontiac vehicle for speeding on June 8th at 3:41 in the morning in
the area of Twin Shields Golf Course in Dunkirk. As the officers approached the
vehicle, they noticed that the glove box was sitting open and that a loaded
black handgun magazine was in plain view. The occupants of the vehicle were
asked to exit and consent to search the vehicle was obtained. Dep. Robshaw then
located a semi-automatic handgun. It was determined that the handgun had been
reported stolen out of South Carolina. The passenger of the vehicle, Bryan T.
Barbee, 23, of Mitchellville, was arrested and charged with theft and carrying a
concealed deadly weapon.
Not Dillinger but Cocaine Was Real
DUNKIRK --- Dfc. Eric Basham made a traffic stop for speeding on June 8th at
7:18 p.m. on Rte. 4 in Dunkirk. The driver and passenger were both asked to exit
the vehicle and consent to search their person was obtained. Dfc. Basham
discovered cocaine in the pocket of the passenger, Joshua L. Dellinger, 21, of
Dunkirk. He was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine.
Car Left for Sale Vandalized
PRINCE FREDERICK --- On June 12 at 10:06 a.m. the Calvert Control Center
dispatched a call for a suspicious vehicle at the Park and Ride located at 140
Calvert Fair Drive in Prince Frederick. Cpl. Timothy Fridman arrived and located
a 4 door white Buick with the driver’s side window smashed out and the trunk
lock damaged. The vehicle had a “For Sale” sign and phone number listed in the
window. The owner responded to the scene and stated that he had last checked on
the vehicle on June 11 at about 11:00 a.m. Approximately $600.00 worth of damage
was done to the vehicle and $1500.00 worth of property was stolen from it.
