Career Criminal Takes Accomplice on Burglary Spree
CALLAWAY --- Scott Trevor Morgan, 32, a constant figure in the local drug scene, went on a burglary spree on Monday and Tuesday, robbing and or burglarizing four St. Mary's County stores, according to the St. Mary's Sheriff's Department.
According to Cpl. Michael Gardiner, on June 7th in the early
morning hours, A burglary, property destruction and theft occurred to the Bear Creek
Restaurant in Callaway, Md. The suspects, Lee Xavier Robinson, 40 years of age of
Lexington Park and Scott Trevor Morgan of Lexington Park, then went to
Snellman's Store in Hollywood and broke into that establishment and stole an
undisclosed amount of money. The suspects then went to H Gass Seafood restaurant in
Hollywood and attempted to burglarize that business however, did not gain entry.
On June 8th, in the early morning hours, the suspects entered into a scheme with another
Suspect Kerri Hall 23 years of age from Leonardtown an employee of The Country Store,
Leonardtown, MD., they stole a large sum of cash, and attempted to make it look as though
a burglary had taken place. Kerri Hall provided false information to police when
interviewed.
Information was developed about a possible suspect vehicle, and an off duty detective
spotted the vehicle in the California Maryland. He followed the vehicle in his
personal vehicle until he could obtain a vehicle registration and identity of the driver.
The suspect's were apprehended on June 8th by members of the St. Mary's County Bureau of
Criminal Investigations and a member of The St. Mary's County Special Operations Division.
A search warrant was executed on the suspect vehicle which provided evidence of the
crimes.
Robinson and Morgan were arrested and
charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft and property destruction. Both are
incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held on a $5000.00 cash bond.
Suspect Hall was charged with one count of felony theft and released on her own
recognizance.
