86, of La Plata

Cecelia Margaret Norris, 86, of La Plata died July 31, 2004 at Charles County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, La Plata. She was a homemaker. She was one of the founding members of the Ladies of Charity, she volunteered with the Red Cross. Born December 14, 1917, in Rock Point, MD, she was the daughter of the late Yock Stine and the late Ida Stine. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Miles B. Norris, Sr.; brothers, Adrian Stine, Jody Stine, Charles Stine; sisters, Hilda Lomax, Irene Coulby; and grandchild, Dale R. Norris. She is survived by her son, Miles B. Norris, Jr., of Cobb Island; brother, James M. Stine, of Cobb Island; two grandchildren, Brian K. Norris and Scott A. Norris; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 4 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with prayers at 7 p.m. at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata. Mass of Christian Buiral will be held Thursday, Aug. 5 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Issue at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be John R. Coulby, Mike Stine, Walter Ruppecht, Adrian Coulby, Roger Norris and David T. Hayden. Memorial contributions may be made to Charles County Nursing Home, 10200 La Plata Road, La Plata, MD 20646. Arrangements are being handled by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home.
