Charles Perry “Wink” Guy, Sr.
Services:Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 28, 2004 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bushwood, MD with Rev. Francis J. Early officiating. Interment will be private.

Visitation:Public Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, June 27, 2004 from 2 - 5 PM with prayers being said at 3:00 PM.
Charles Perry “Wink” Guy, Sr., 77, of Clements, MD died June 24, 2004 in St. Mary’s Hospital. Born April 29, 1927 in Clements, MD, he was the son of the late Mary Agnes and Claude Eugene Guy. He was the beloved husband of Doris J. McQuire Guy whom he married on February 13, 1950 in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Morganza, MD. Mr. Guy was the loving father of Charlene P. Guy of Manassas, VA, Judith A. Guy of Arlington, VA, Suzanne M. Guy of Lynchburg, VA, Mary Faith Fodor of Memphis TN, Charles P. Guy, Jr. and Christine Mattingly both of Leonardtown, Christopher A. Guy of Harrisonburg, VA and Jeffrey B. Guy and Maureen A. Bowles both of Hollywood. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Agnes Hammett of Clements, Dorothy Emig and Gertrude Haden of Leonardtown and by his brothers, George Guy of Leonardtown, Fred E. Guy of Charlotte Hall and Al Francis Guy of Clements and 14 grandchildren. Mr. Guy was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Stanton Guy, Sr. and Claude Byron Guy and sisters, Nellie Guy Patrick, Laura Guy Gass, and Claudia Guy Yates. He was a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County who graduated from Charlotte Hall Military Academy in June of 1945. He served his country in the U. S. Army during WWII from July 1945 until December 1946. Mr. Guy was the Owner of Guy Brothers Implements in Clements, MD. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed hunting, attending softball games and tractor pulls. The family received friends on Sunday, June 27, 2004 in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, June 28, 2004 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church where Father Francis J. Early officiated. Interment was private. Pallbearers for Mr. Guy were Mike Guy, Paulie Guy, Richard Russell, Brian Russell, J. F. Long and Frankie Vallandingham. Contributions may be made to Seventh District Volunteer Rescue Squad, Box 7, Avenue, MD 20609 and Charlotte Hall School Scholarship Fund, P. O. Box 283, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.
