Charles Sheriff's Detectives Seek Tips on Candy-Toting Robbers
WALDORF --- On February 8 at approximately 2 p.m., a 14-year-old Waldorf boy was walking in the 2700 block of Crain Highway when two suspects approached him and forcibly robbed him of property. One suspect is described as a short black male with a medium complexion and short black hair. The second suspected is described as a tall black male with a dark complexion and was carrying a milk crate that contained candy.
The suspects are believed to be connected with an organization called "The Young Achievers," which calls itself a not-for-profit organization that sells candy, allegedly to help support a drug-free program for children. The organization is not currently registered with the U.S. Office of the Secretary of State.
The victim in this incident did not sustain any injuries. The Sheriffs Office has released a composite sketch of one of the suspects and is asking the publics assistance in identifying the individual.
Anyone with information about this incident or the individual in the composite sketch to call the Charles County Sheriffs Office at 301-932-2222. Det. J. Piazza is investigating.
