Charles Vernon Miedzinski
U.S. Air Force Veteran

Charles Vernon Miedzinski, 58, of Leonardtown, MD died January 6, 2005 in Washington, DC. Born November 9, 1946 in Leonardtown, MD he was the son of Mary Lillian Hayden Miedzinski and the late Robert Miedzinski. He is survived by his children, Cheryl Green of Lusby, MD, John Miedzinski of Hollywood, MD, Kevin Miedzinski and Karen Butler both of Leonardtown, MD and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert L. Miedzinski and James F. Miedzinski and his sisters, Mary “Pritzi” Klear, Roberta A. Dooley, Jane M. Bussler, Ruth M. Abell and Phyllis E. Miedzinski all of Leonardtown, MD. He was preceded in death by a brother, William B. Miedzinski. Mr. Miedzinski was a life-long resident of St. Mary’s County and a graduate of Ryken High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force from August, 1965 thru August, 1969. He was employed as a Logistics Technician for BAE Systems in St. Inigoes, MD. Mr. Miedzinski was a Life Member of the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department. The family received friends on January 10, 2005 in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was held January 11, 2005 in St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Father Rory T. Conley officiating. Interment followed in Charles Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers for Mr. Miedzinski were Ronnie Norris, Mike Scully, Teddy Wathen, Robert Lee Trossbach, Jim Daniel and Mike Laney. Honorary pallbearers were Joseph Green, Samuel Green, Nelson Butler, Jr., Kayla Butler, Jalyn Butler, Devin Butler and Members of the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department.
