Constance D. Culp,
62, of La Plata

Constance D. Culp, 62, of La Plata died April 28, 2005 at Civista Medical Center, La Plata. She was a site manager for Southern Maryland Oil for 30 years. She was a member of the La Plata United Methodist Church. She enjoyed animals, birds, flowers, antiques and traveling. Born December 22, 1942 in Keyser, West Virginia, she was the daughter of James Waldon Rucker and Georgia Rucker. She was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas McVay. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her nephews, Christopher Jo McVay, Justin Rucker, Jared McVay and Jeremiah Rucker; niece, Lisa M. Conner; great-niece, Nicole McVay and great-nephew, Kyle McVay. A gathering will be held Tuesday, May 3 from 6-8 p.m. with a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata. The Rev. Davis Peck will officiate. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Asso., 800 Wyman Park Drive, Baltimore, MD 21211. Arrangements are being handled by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home.
