Crack Makes Rednecks Even Dumber
Deputies Bust Crackheads at Capt. D-Rays
SANDGATES --- On 04-09-04 St. Mary's Sheriff's
Deputies, Cpl. Jeffrey L. McLane, Dfc. Michael A. Labanowski, Dfc. Daniel L. Snyder, and
Dep. Donald A. Price responded to Captain D-Rays for the reported underage consumption of
alcohol in the establishments parking lot, according to Lt. Steven Doolan. Deputies
did not locate any individuals drinking in the parking lot but did observe two subjects
exit a vehicle and quickly enter the business. Further investigation revealed the
subjects discarded two bags of suspected crack cocaine on the ground near the vehicle.
Deputies then gave the appearance of leaving the area and established surveillance
on the vehicle and the suspected CDS.
Several minutes later the suspects returned to the vehicle, retrieved the suspected CDS
and began to leave the area. Officers responded and stopped the suspects vehicle.
One suspect observed the responding units and discarded the suspected crack cocaine
in the water, while the other remained in his vehicle. A subsequent search revealed
suspected marijuana, suspected cocaine and a CDS smoking device. Police report that
both suspects were arrested and charged as follows:
Ronald Adam Cusic, 26, Waldorf, charged with Possession of CDS, suspected cocaine.
Shaun Quinten Tippett, 29, Mechanicsville, charged with Possession of CDS, suspected
cocaine and Possession of Marijuana.
