Donna Marie Wardell, 67

Donna Marie Wardell, 67, of Lexington Park, MD died July 31, 2004 in Leonardtown, MD. Born on December 29, 1936 in Jackson, California, she is the daughter of Mary Delphine Kosich of Sacramento, California and the late Peter Mitchell Kosich.

She was the wife of the late Rone Nephi Wardell whom she married on March 5, 1957 in Carson City, Nevada. Mrs. Wardell is survived by her children, Jeff Allan Wardell of Lexington Park, MD, Paul Eugene Wardell and Wendy Wardell of Mays Landing, NJ and James Mitchell Wardell and Beth Wardell of Sanford, NC.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kenneth Wardell of Mays Landing, NJ and Megan and Alison Wardell of Sanford, NC. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sheila Day of Davis, CA. She was a graduate of Jackson High School Class of 1954.

Mrs. Wardell has been a resident of St. Mary’s County since October 1972 when she relocated from Connecticut. She was employed for 32 years with the U. S. Government in the Accounting Branch of the Public Works Department. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Family will receive visitors from 4:30 to 6:00 PM on Friday, August 6, 2004 in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home where a Memorial Service will be conducted at 6:00 PM with Chaplain Jon Rozema officiating. Interment will be private. Contributions may be made to Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 339, Lexington Park, MD 20653 and/or Bay District Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 1440, California, MD 20619.
