Dopey Driving Reveals Driver Had Dope
CALLAWAY --- On April 5th, 2004 St. Mary's Sheriff's Deputy
Sgt. Daniel D. Alioto was on
patrol on Point Lookout Road in the area of Buck Hewitt Road when a vehicle made an abrupt
turn in front of his path. The vehicle was stopped and the operator was identified as
Suspect Travis Wayne Hill of Leonardtown. It was found that the operator had a suspended
driver's license through the State of Maryland. A search revealed a quantity of
marijuana on his person as well as approximately an additional one quarter pound of
marijuana inside the vehicle. The total street value of the seized marijuana was more than
$2,200.00 Two additional Suspects,
Jason Paulos and Michael Austin, also of Leonardtown, were passengers inside the vehicle.
There was marijuana scattered throughout the vehicle and a smoking device was located in
plain view in the common area. The vehicle was seized as well as more than $600.00 in
Untied States Currency. Suspects Paulos and Austin were charged with Possession of
Marijuana and related paraphernalia while Suspect Hill was charged with Possession of
Marijuana with the intent to distribute and driving while suspended.
Spring Is In The Air: Man Stabbed at Great Mills Road Carwash
LEXINGTON PARK --- St. Mary's Sheriff's Deputies responded to the Speedy Car Wash on Great
Mills Road for the reported stabbing. Upon arrival Dfc. Richard W. Russell located a male
victim suffering from a stab wound. Other Patrol units located a Suspect vehicle in the
Hermanville area. The Victim was transported to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment and the
Bureau of Criminal Investigations took over the investigation.
