Dorothy Marie Decker

Dorothy Marie Decker, 80, of Lexington Park, MD and formerly of Sedalia, MO died January 16, 2005 in Calvert Memorial Hospital. Born December 17, 1924 in Sedalia, MO she was the daughter of the late Thomas Alfred and Cleo Blalack Maxwell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Benjamin Decker, whom she married on August 11, 1946 in Sedalia, MO. She was the loving mother of John Robert Decker of Valley Lee, MD, Steven Alan Decker of Ridge, MD and Donna Marie Voorhaar of California, MD. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son David Lynn Decker and her brother John Alfred Maxwell. Mrs. Decker was a graduate of Smith Cotton High School Class of 1942 and was a homemaker. A Funeral Service with Rev. Joseph Dobson officiating will be held in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home on Thursday, January 20, 2005 at 7:00 PM where the family will receive friends from 6 – 7 PM. Interment will be private.
